Mamaliga, Oy! I gained six pounds just reading Anny's account. Wow! Where is this place? Does it still exist? Indeed, what a way to die and what a PLACE to die. Let's all met there when our time comes.

The best mamaliga I've ever had was in Covasna, as spa Hungaro Romanian,
they spoke both poorly very primitive but they have something called MOFETA=
,
a special fume your breathe in and my husband's varicose veins were gone an=
d
that for 2 years. It seems good for the blood circulation and is under
complete medical care for the young ones like us!!!
Anyway they served the mamaliga boiling hot with butter swimming on it and
around the rather largish bowl in which it was served, and - here is the
clue, adding to Andy's ode, Branza de burduf (that is goat cheese wrapped i=
n
pine bark, dry cheese) and one can smell the pine when the melted cheese
dissolves into the mamaliga.
I ordered one ONCE, it was great but much too rich, what a way to die!!!! I
thought after having just half of it. Kind as I am I wanted to share it wit=
h
my husband "till death us do part"
