I remember Most apples , at the corner of the street .
I used to take a Leu (maybe more) and run down the street .
The man would fish out an apple with his polonik .
The apple was big and green and juicy.
No , I dont know the recipe but I can guess.
Take big green apples (They have name ) a little sour . Put them
in a metal bucket.
Fill it up with water from the Prut ( mountain water).
Take the water before the Klokutschka brook joins , to avoid sewage.
Leave it the open for a week.
Take it to the street corner shouting "Most".

Does anybody remember in Summertime there were vendors who used to sell
delicious "Moost Aepfel".
they used to cary a bucket with apples that were semi soft and deliciously
marinated. Does anybody out there know the receipe.
Also who remembers "Toscherl" tasting like Latkes.
