Czernowitzers... May I direct your attention to a little album of just 8
photographs taken by Georgeta Iancu of the synagogue at Gura Humorului?
Some background information is in the first frame.
Sometimes it is difficult to say exactly why one is drawn to a
particular piece of art or a photograph, and this set is no exception
(at least for the photographer and myself). I keep on returning to look
at this set.

When was the last time a Jew prayed in this synagogue; have you any
idea? Did survivors return here from Transnistria, re-open the
sysnagogue, and then go to Israel? Or is this dust from 1941?

have them.
