RE: [Cz-L] Wiener Cafe

I was at the Café Wien during the 2006 Reunion. They have a good Julius
Meinl coffee and excellent strudel and crèmeschnitt. The present location is
not the same as the Café Viennese. The Viennese was across the street and
closer to the Ringplatz. Nothing is left from the former Viennese.

I am not sure whether this is the same location as the pre-WWII Konditorei
and Cafe "Vieneza", a venerable Czernowitz establishment. Significantly, the
obstinate non-Romanian speaking Jews always referred to it as Vieneza, never
Wiener Cafe.
