See the reference in the newsletter of the Bukovina Society of the
Americas, Dec. 2006, Vol. 16, No. 4

Reinhold Czarny's article on his trip to Czernowitz, pages 5 and 6,
mentions historic markers identified by his tour guide. "Example: the
inscription, 'Leon Schrenzel' on Franzengasse referred to a company
established in 1887, which manufactured building materials."
Judging from its occurence in the JewishGen Family Finder
http://www.jewishgen.org/jgff/ , Schrenzel appears to be a
"Galitzianer" name. The Jewish Records Indexing Project --
JRI-Poland.org -- lists many Schrenzels (including some namd Leon) --
many in Lwow and vicinity. Perhaps some of them made their way to
Czernowitz.
