Even though there were people by the name of Rohr (with an Umlaut) in
Czernowitz, I believe that the Rohr family foundation is interested in
rebuilding Jewish synagogues in Eastern Europe in general and not in
Czernowitz in particular. I read that Sami Rohr is originally from Berlin.
