SL Nathanson, obviously was not from Czernowitz. In Czernowitz quantities
for any recipe were by weight and not by volume. The fermentation was
sufficient to produce enough alcohol, so that it was not necessary to add
Vodka. Even had it been necessary, they would have added brandy.
