Forgive my so-so English, I've translated everything in a hurry.

The title:

Reality is written in Chyrillic letters

Cernauti was, long time ago, a poem and more than that. It used to be called "Little Vienna". Today it is a foreign city, living its life on the banks of the Pruth and paying its unending tribute to a history-scalpel.

At the entrance to Cernauti, Ucraine is only a story about survival. Here, all that remained are the faith, the biting cold and small subsistance trade.

In October 2009 the city celebrated its 601 years. The past is only a secondary preocupation, though. The present is written in Cyrilic letter and it is Ucraina.

Discreetness is in high esteem north of Vama Siret. The landscape is standard (the same everywhere): closed cars (?) and tinted windows.

Public transportation in Cernauti has two main characteristics: it's old and overloaded. It is not surprising (when taking into account) the price of the ticket of less than 3000 old Lei

In Cernauti the capitalism crept into the traffic signs. The direction is always the same: more consumption. In Ucraina though, the 90s are still closer (to today): the bazaars are still in power.

The classic explanaiton: the Soviet era is dead but its mark is forever.

In the central cemetery of the city the bear witness of a burried history.

In exchange (? unclear meaning) the black marble of Ucrainean destinies and graphical representations able to give (you) the creeps.

In the world of the living there are too few solutions left: the bribe, the myth of the all powerful dollar, the atempts of a state, too far away, to control the public morals and manners

The dark halls of the University of Cernauti and of the Synodal Hall. In October 1918 it is here that a few decided men had signed on a forgotten Union (chart?). The dream lasted only two decades.
