Dear all,
I can't say why, what or how he did it but I know my own story.
I had a most beautiful Pekingeze dog (a bitch) and whenever I walked her
proudly on Herrengasse Mrs. Popovici would stop and ask me to give it to
her. I remember telling her how attached I am to it, as a girl of 12 would
be to "someone" to hug and cry with when times were hard.
One afternoon when I wasn't in my crowded abode, she came and told my mother
if she can have the dog we can have a permit. Mrs. Popovici took the dog and
told my mother that she had told me that she'll get it. I, much
later forgave my late mother, I still feel the loss in my heart though, but
it did save our lives.
I have always been a "dafke" person and my mother giving HER the dog broke
my heart twice. Bribery???
