The bike riders of the royal and imperial Finance Guard of Radautz in 1904,
must have considered themselves very modern and up to date.
Bicycles definitely had certain advantages of horses, but all I could think
of when I saw this photograph, was what was said about the Polish army in
1939; "The Polish cavalry on bicycles".
