Nikolausgasse down from Landhausgasse to Morariugasse.
Narrow and dark were the streets of the Jewish quarter.
Smelly too. Open sewers , cats, rats and on weekends mixed
with the smell of fresh cholent ,carried home from the furnaces
around the corner.
Most streets were not paved on after rain mud was everywhere.
If you looked well , you would find me too.
Going down the street and looking for strife.
