[Cz-L] The Prut Picture

Hi Hardy & Irene I've marked some faces in the Prut picture and in a class picture from Scoala Elite. I'm sending these to you, Hardy, instead of the Cz address because I don't know if I can send attachments to the List site. The face I've marked as No. 1. in both pictures was a quiet, sullen boy. I always thought he was Ukrainian. Number 2, the chunky kid, was in my Kindergarten. A very familiar face. If he were alive today and I ran into him I'm sure I'd still recognize him. Number 3. is Eddie Greif who was also in my kindergarten and was also our next-door neighbor on Strada Traian. His mother's name was Gina, I remember. They ended up in Australia. The Greifs visited New York when I lived there in the 1950s but they didn't bring Eddie along. I haven't seen him since before the war. Lucca had him in a class picture of hers and she remembers him, too. Number 4. is a girl whose name I don't recall. I've got her in a small group shot of four of us when we graduated grade three or four before going to liceum. The kids in the Prut picture look between 11 and 13 - some of them are as tall as the adults - so that had to be the summer of '38 or '39. I have a number of pictures from the Prut but my scanner transfers to Pdf and some other format and I'm not sure what will work with the list.
