Dear Czernowitzers,
When I was much younger, my aunt offered me some counsel on the subject =
of dating. She told me that when she was a young woman, dates meant =
being accompanied by a chaperone. I have always wondered whether this =
was a custom common in Egypt, where she grew up, or if it was a rule =
established by her mother (from Czernowitz). If anyone on the list would =
be willing to enlighten me, I'd love to hear from you!
Best wishes to you all, and thanks as always for the wonderful tales,
