When the attacks of the Waechterwegbande became unbearable ,we
convened our Bande and planned counter- measures.
Igo from the Metzgergasse said that the best would be if we had
an airplane.
We liked the idea and started right away: The workshop would be in
the cellar of Nussiu's house . First we started on the plane body.
Everyone brought wooden planks , hammers, saws and nails and
  soon work was underway.
It started with a rectangular box to which wings and all the rest
would later be attached. A propellor and an engine to drive it too.
We decided on a steam engine .
It also needed a carbide lamp and that came from an old bicycle.
After a week or so , as work was underway. we discovered
that we also needed an airfield for take- off and landing.
We did not find a solution to this so we changed the plan and
   made a tank instead.
When we almost finished the tank we found out that the cellar door was
too narrow for getting the tank out to the battlefield.
Then we dropped the entire idea.Because of the wheels.
Nussiu's mother , who passed by , had a look at it and said:" This is
exactly the crate I need for storing potatoes in the winter".

So something good came out of our airplane ,after all.
