Dear Hardy,
Thank you so much for today's email: Machen's wir den Schwalben nach, bauen
uns ein Nest..... Meine Mutti, passed away a long time ago, used to sing
those melodies often and carry me (7-8 years old) to dance with her - in our
small "Zimmer-Kueche-Kabinet" Wohnung in Heinestrasse, Vienna.
I listened, and cried...
By the way, Michaela Feuerstein in her book "Das Juedische Wien", (
Mandelbaum Verlag, 2004) tells us that Schoenbrunn, like many other
palaces, was built with Jewish money.
I had been invited by the Vienna municipality for a week in Vienna, starting
Oct. 3rd. Was anyone else from our Cz..list invited?
Shabbat-Shalom, Miriam, Israel
