Dear All,
I am aghast, that some members of this list advised Arthur to forgive those
who are to blame for the death of his mother. Who of us has the right to
tell another person what to forgive and of what to let go? Arthur lost his
mother, not his teddy bear.
When a child looses his mother at age four, it alters his life for ever.
The memories of WW2 remain and surface, whether we like it or not.
Still, Arthur is an open and fair-minded person. It is this that matters.
I have liked and admired all the volunteers of SVIT Ukraine, I met in 2008,
2009 and 2010. I have not met the volunteers from ASF, but I have a CD of
photographs showing them at work, which I will place on a Picasa Album,
so it will be accessible to all. There were volunteers in this group who
probably are over 70 years old. Seeing the photographs of these volunteers
carefully removing vines and weeds around the graves, makes me and probably
will make Arthur and many others, be tremendously grateful and happy.
