The story goes back to the Turkish seige of Vienna in 1645.
As the Sultan fell in Austrian prison , he had to give all his belonging
to the prison authorities before incarceration.
All he had was seven plums . Sieben Zwetschken.
After many years , upon release the prison warden said :
" Give him back his seven plums and let him go !"
Since then belongings of somebody are his " Sieben Zwetschken
or Siebensachen.

"Klum" or "Klump" comes from the very Viennese dialect "Klumpert" and really
everybody in Vienna knows what Klump means :)

There are many more but I was surprized to here from a Viennese friend:
Er nahm sein ganzes Klum und ging weg. Meaning:
He took all his very small (belongings) and left. Everybody knows in Vienna
what Klum means, she says.
