Hardy...I assume this is what is called an apocryphal story since the Sultan
stayed home and sent his Vizier to Vienna...and when said Vizier had to
retreat to Belgrade he was strangled with a silken cord for his troubles!!
And if anybody goes to Wien you can go and see the Vizier's palatial tent in
the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum,which also has Jewish items. Unfortunately
the harem room at the back of the Vizier's tent is unoccupied! Cornel
