Charles and Cornel,

As I remember it, Czernowitzer German was not "ohne Pfeffer und Salz",
probably the opposite, too much pepper and salt and of course Paprika ,
maybe also Hühner-Schmalz.
This brings to my mind, that Heine is supposed to have said to his wife:
"Süße Puppe, hast versalzen mir die Suppe". Did we oversalt the German
language?
