Thank you Elan & Miriam
It goes without saying that the archive receiving the originals has to be
able to preserve and maintain them, as well as make them available.
Obviously, I am in the formative stage of planning, but I would like to know
which archive is most used for study - or would put the materials on line,
and where my materials would have the best chance of translation to English.
I can provide photocopies now - and donate these to any archive or provide
them to anyone who might translate a select few. I'd have to get my
daughters to show me how to scan stuff, but, even so, there is a very large
number of letters, quite apart from documents and photographs - it's a lot
of work.
I would very much like to get some advice.
Thanks to everyone.
Bob

Dear Robert and all,
I agree 100% with Marianne, concerning the preservation of documents,
including letters in any language. I want to suggest another archive: the
"Central Archive for the Jewish People", (CAHJP), located in Jerusalem.
Search google for their site. Here is their email: archives_at_vms.huji.ac.il .
Ithink that those institutes are much better presevation places, with more
visitors and scholars who need them for their researches then the very
important Jewish Museum in Zc.
All the best 0 Miriam, Israel
