Dear Mimi, dear list members,

When I was a student at the University, I was told the hexagram
(six-pointed star) symbols are there for decorative purpose only, and
possibly come from the Buddhism/Hinduism related ornamentalism. The
same refers to swastika symbols that one can also notice among the
rich decorations of the University walls.
