The name was pronounced Tsetsina, but spelled Cecina.
I have at least 4 photographs on the back of which my father wrote "Cecina".
In German it makes perfect sense to spell a 'ts' sound as a 'c'.
In Romanian the letter C if before an E or a I would be pronounced like 'ch'
in the word 'church', that is why the Romanians might have spelled it
Tsetsina.
Alexander the Good, ruled from 1400, he was born considerably later than
Kasimir the great of Poland, who was born April 30, 1310. Therefore the
fortifications at Cecina were built by Kasimir the great and possibly just
strengthened by Alexander the good.
Do not trust what you learned in Romanian school.
I too learned about Alexandru cel bun (Alexander the good) in school in
Romania, in third or fourth grade. They never told us what he was good at,
but reading Wikepedia, I came to the conclusion that he must have been
"good in bed". He had 4 wives, 3 concubines and 24 sons. No mention of
daughters.
