Please tell us more of wehat you know about the metropolit Dr. Eugene Hacman
and his being sent to be the head of the vhurch by the Kaiser. Rabbi Lazar
Igel, also had a doctorate, from Padua University.
I do not know whether an Italian Doctorate was at that time the equivalent
of a modern PhD, or the current "Dotore", which is the same as BA from an
American University. Let the title Dr., of either the metropolit Hacman or
rabbi Igel be whatever it was, for that time, it certainly meant that they
had received a far higher than average education.
