During the Meridian Poetry Festival recently held in Czernowitz
Paul Celan was the big hero.
To have a poet of world fame as a son of their city was very flattering.
And all these writers , mainly from German speaking countries, paying
tribute to a Czernowitzer genius ,what more do you want !
That his most famous poems tell us of the massacre of the jewish
people from Czernowitz is just coincedence.
What is of interest is his descriptive language wich is incomparable.
Therefore they have a street in his name and a bust in black marble.
On it is written that Paul Celan was a german- writing Czernowitzer.
        Which he certainly was .
Many more german-writing Czernowitzer were sent to Transnistria.
            Of a certain congregation.
