Hello Mimi
I'm not all that young. But not an AK either! I was brought up on
foods from the heim. True, I like all sorts of food but I keep
returning to the staples like a proper kartofel suppe made with einbrenn
and lots of garlic, proper kneidles (ie with garlic and a touch of
ginger) and sometimes kneidlach with neshomes (kneidle with a little
piece of fried chicken liver hidden in the middle).
Thankfully, my mother also taught my wife how to make gefilte fish -
pure heaven with a hunk of chollah to mop up the sauce.
Now I'm good and hungry!
All the best
Mike
