In Frankfurt and in Koln,
In Rothenburg and Worms,
Where Jews lived and died,
There is a Judengasse.
Street of the Jews ,
Not Jewish street ,
But Street of the Jews ,
Stinking and narrow,
Where the sun didn't shine,
But ours, Judengasse.
Czernowitz also had a Judengasse,
Like Salzburg and Worms.
Vienna and Prag ,
But no longer - now it is Shalom Aleichem.
Who needs a Judengasse ,
If there are no Jews ?
Rothenburg and Worms,
Have no jews for a long time.
I miss the Judengasse of Czernowitz,
Hardy
