The first person we encountered in Czernowitz was the Czeremosh Hotel
  receptionist .
She gave us the keys with a smile . Very friendly.
Next , the taxi driver to the Ringplatz. Smiles all the drive.
    Friendly .
Then the money changer . Changed 50 bucks. Nice girl.
     All smiles.
At the Shevchenko statue the beggar woman faked being Jewish.
I gave her 20 Hrv. She didnt believe her eyes. She said I was a Saint.
She crossed herself and had to sit down.
The trafic light on Golovna ticks off seconds until green.
State of the art and pedestrian-friendly.
At my house , at my appartment , I knock on the door and a
voice asks who it was which I very much tell but she very little
understands . She tells me something else now , but very friendly.
        The door stays shut.
The taxi to uptown is a young boy who chats on the radio phone
with the girl at headquartes . All smiles.
At the Vienna Cafe the waitresses serve us promptly and correctly.
Young and with long legs. Very friendly. So was my tip.
          Other Reunionists populate the Cafe.
All are hungry but very friendly considering.
In short a very friendly day .
When I come home I must tell Muniu to go to Czernowitz.
                 So cheap and friendly too.

      Hardy
