[Cz-L] Phanariots and Jews.

  The Phanariots convinced the Turks that they would be better tax
collectors
   in the vasal lands Moldova and Muntenia.
     They were not only better tax - collectors - they became noblemen and
   rulers. The best Rumanian families have Phanariot blood.

      In Ukraina the Poles also employed tax - collectors , the Jews.
       They did not become noblemen nor rulers .
          They were massacred by the locals on the first occasion....
         What made the difference ?
            The Phanariots were Greek and christians.
               The Jews were just jewish...
