Sidi L'vovna Tal' (Russian: Сиди Львовна Таль; bornYiddish: Sorele Birkental
(Сореле Биркенталь) on September 8, 1912 — August 17, 1983) was a prominent,
popular Jewish singer and actress in theYiddish language, born in
Czernowitz, Austria-Hungary(now Chernivtsi, Ukraine). She worked in Romania
and in the USSR.
