Czernowitzers...

I'm afraid, we'll not agree on the role of the Socialist/Communist Movement in Romania and/or Czernowitz, which has to be considered depending on the respective period pre-/during-/after-WW2. On the other hand, I believe, we'll easily agree, that the violent encroachment of the Romanian authorities during the Interwar period in front of the "Czernowitz Teenager Communists" was illegal, discretionary and sadistic.

We learn from "today's" (i.e. 07.12.1932/2010) edition of "Der Tag - The Day", p. 2+3, (http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/), that

Helios Hecht, the Czernowitz journalist, graphologist and then life partner of Rose Ausländer has been imprisoned - together with Luise Huber - as a communist and transferred to Iassy Prison. It will take a few (hard) weeks to prove his innocence and thereafter he will report in detail on the prison conditions.

Best wishes to all of you, regardless of whether you sympathize with the Socialis/Communist Movement or not!
