I remember going there with my parents to "vote" on "election day" during the Soviet era. It was a Sunday; and suprise, surprise Stalin won!

Here the city philharmonic orchestra performs,
also theatre performances and meetings take place.
A Sidi Thal memorial plate adorns the building.
In the old times it was the Musikverein.
During the war it was cinema "Central" where Jean Gabin
movies were shown. I remember the "Human beast" movie.
We had many human beasts at that time....
