[Cz-L] tHANKS A LOT

Hi, Edgar...when an old woman like me tells to a young man , like
you, "You made me happy"...what must think people????
Your "Cinema-Parade" took me back to my teenager age, all these films
with Magda Schneider, Renate Mueller, Martha Eggerth(she married Jan
Kiepura, who was jewish) and emigrated in time to USA...I heard Jan
Jiepura, when he was on "Tournee" in Czernowitz and Mr.Gutherz, the
owner of the shop for theater-ticketts, told him "you are the second
Caruso" and he answered:"No , my dear mister Gutherz, I am the first
Kiepura" (that told me Hertha Gutherz his daughter, my friend,) and
Fritz Gruenbaum, who perished in a concentratian camp, Szoeke Szakal,
a wonderfull comedian, who emigrated, like Anton Wohlbrueck( in USA
he changed his name to Anton Walbrook ) Like all girl teenager, I had
a collection of postcards-pictures from the famous artists...Rudolf
Valentino, Gustav Froehlich, Fritz Kortner, Magda Scheider ( the
mother of Romy Schneider), Martha Eggerth, Gitta Alpar, (a jewish
hungarian artist, daughter of a rabby, who married Gustav Froehlich,
and than in 1933 he divorced her) etc...
This is indeed a wonderful present for NEW YAER, and I believe not
only for me, for the whole "oldest generation".of the list.....
