Dear Hardy,

the shield was one of the outcomes of the SVIT-workcamp in 2009. Other signs were installed too but disapeared already. Steinbarg stayed.

Explanation on the organizations:

SVIT = no explanation needed
SCI = Service Civil International, SVIT is the Ukrainian branch of this organization
EVZ = Stiftung Erinnerung Verantwortung Zukunft, this organization was founded to collect money from the industry in Germany and distribute it to former slave workers in eastern Europe. What was left from the collected money became the base for a foundation that tries to teach young people about the holocaust.
Memoria = A Program by the Polish Batory Foundation that was funded by EVZ. SVIT got the money for the workcamp in 2009 by the Memoria program.

Call it a Matryoshka of funding.
