The Untere Judischegasse was , as the name says, the lower part
of the Jewish street .
As you go down the street the houses become lower and lower
and shabbier too.
At a certain point the street west side swerves out in a ramp
and flows into the Springbrunnengasse.
Here the street also loses its eastern bank.
It widens out into a delta that expands to the east forming a
square that served as a marketplace , where horse driven carriages
exposed their wares.
This square was once called Theodor Herzlplatz, Stalingrad sq., Volgograd
sq.
