I do not remember the first day at school, but I remember that with the age=
of 4-5 I had a English teacher. (Before him I had a Jewish teacher with a =
beard and a "taitel" a letter=A0indicater) . He succeded to make me memoriz=
e a litle poem. At all the places I visited with my mother I had to recite =
the poem. Imagine my Mutti's pride to have a son, a poliglot. At home we sp=
oke German and Yiddish, as all Czernowitzers.=A0
The time came to go to school . Only with the age of seven. I was born in J=
une and my mother insisted so much that I was accepted with the age of six =
and a half. At the time, Romanian languige.=A0After a while the Soviets too=
k over and we studied in the Russian language. =A0
So , me, a child 7-years old had to deal with 5 languages. My Mutti was rig=
ht: She had a genious, a poliglot!
