do you remember the Maedchenbuecher we were so attached to? Magda Trott's
Goldkoepfchen, Nesthaeckchen,
and another popular author was Friede Birkner.
Incidentally I still have a very old copy of the "Trotzkopf" a book which we
all loved so much. When in Germany, i looked in used books shops for some of
the books which I loved as a very young girl, but couldn't find any.
I especially looked for my first German Lehrbuch which had stories and poems
like the Erlkoening, das Maeuschen,
der Handschuh.
I loved that book.
