Holovna street consists nowadays of the former Siebenbürgerstrasse,
Rathausstrasse, Hauptstrasse and Bahnhofstrasse.

I have a question for those who know the streets of Czernowitz so much
better than I.
Looking at picture ID 02759 in the UID, Holovna Street. It is said that
this is Hauptstrasse. This has been my understanding; that Holovna Street
and
Hauptstrasse are one in the same.
Next I looked at a picture also identified as Holovna Street, ID number
02755. This picture indicates that the street was called
Siebenburgerstrasse.
So should I conclude that part of the current Holovna Street was
Hauptstrasse, and part was Siebenburgerstrasse? Was the dividing line at
the
Ringplatz?
I have a particular reason for wanting more information on this. My mother
once told me that her parents lived on "Main Street", meaning I assume,
Hauptstrasse. So I would like to know exactly where that was.
