Rossalka Samet married to Dr.Zalosziecki was a friend of my family in
Romania. She was an excellent gynecologist, a wonderfully kind and
intelligent woman. I remember her from my childhood in Bucharest and
later when we met in Tel-Aviv. Her son Aki Zalsocziecki lives still in
Tel Aviv, as far as I know. Am not sure of the exact spelling of the
names, mother doesn't remember.
As to Katzenellenbogen - a Canadian/American cellist, Zara Nelsova, whom
we knew, told us that her original name was Katznelson, also a
well-known Jewish name. I wonder if these two names have the same roots.
Most likely. Her family came from Russia originally. She was one of the
greatest cellists, and unfortunately lives no more.
