Dear all,
My great-grandfather, Simon Picker, owned a carpentry/joinery business =
in Czernowitz, which he closed down at the start of World War I. Before =
the war, he also exported sawn timber to Russia. He sculpted wood for =
pleasure and I understand that his work is (or was) found on an =
elaborate staircase in a public building.
I don't have a lot of information about my family and would love to hear =
from anyone with recollections of the Pickers (Cernowitz) or the =
Klingers (Husiatyn). I understand that both families moved to Vienna =
before World War II.
Best wishes,
Shula Klinger
