Edgar,
This map is from the E. Finkel book and is actually not a map but a
marking of the streets as they appear in the Ghetto decree on Oct.11.
A map would have some demarcation or territorial boundaries.

This has not.
In general the shape of the Ghetto was that of a funnel having its spout
outlet at
the railway station.
The railway area was in the Ghetto , surrounded and watched.
The idea was squeezing the Jews out toward the station , load them and
expedite them.
The railway station ,therefore was belonging to the Ghetto , for this
holy operation.
The Ghetto in itself was an impossible task, with some 10,000
non-jews
living there who needed to move around , there were only
2 crossing points : Russischegasse and Nikolausgasse( if I'm
right).
After a week or so the Ghetto parameter started to shift , as more
Jews were evacuated .
Then came Popovici and his rescue operation and one day there
was no Ghetto.
Only a tin shield at the Ham , small , blue and shabby ,is
there
to tell the story.
