Thanks Edgar, for posting a " WW I in Czernowitz" page on the Blog.

I think this is a fascinating subject. My parents went in their childhood/
adolescence through those events , that changed Europe forever.

I'm not aware, neither of a major destruction of the town, nor of a severe
famine during the war in Czernowitz. But I understand that in Vienna there
was famine and I know that my father suffered from hunger in Prag.
