There is a stately Bukovina Survivors monument
in the Baron de Hirsch cemetery in Montreal - Canada's largest
Jewish Cemetery (I sit on the board of directors).

Stephen - did your mother ever write her memoirs? Did you
ever transcribe them for her? If so, please send the document
to us.

I can't send the photos to the Cz-list, but will send them to you in another
email.

My mother unfortunately suffered the horrors of this camp, Bershad to be
exact, where she lost her entire family. She is now 88 and still suffering.
Has a memorial ever been erected specifically to memorialize those who died
in Transistria ?
