Why are we agonising regarding who we are??? Didn't the Roumainians take away
our citizenship in 1941 declaring the Jews stateless.
We stayed that way also after the war when some of us ended up in Displaced
Persons Camps. At no time was I aware that the Citizenship was restored. As I
moved on I had to provide place of birth and mentioned that at the time of
birth it was Roumania however they made me stateless. On one of my visits to
Czernowitz I asked for a birth certificate and in it it states that I was born
in Ukraine. My nationality "Evrey" Go and figure????

With parents Czernowitzerish , what we believed was German.
