Having with Wolf Bardach Edler von Chlumberg a - potential - relative with a similar title of nobility as your relative, I learned, that the War Archives, part of the Austrian State Archives

are making available a huge database, provided that your relative was an officer of the k. k. Austrian-Hungarian Army, as I assume. In this case you'll be able to find his file, covering his complete military AND private biography; in my case the file included more than one hundred pages, so I'm encouraging you to proceed.
