The name Ziegler, rings a Czernowitz bell in my head.
During the year 1944 - 1945, I saw a number of Yiddish plays,
but since I was only seven at the time, I do not remember
what I saw.
I know that in the late twenties or early thirties, my mother
appeared in Czernowitz in the Yiddish play "Greene Felder"
and also in "Tevye der Milchidiker". These must have been amateur
performances.
The "Vilner Truppe" occasionally appeared in Czernowitz.
