I too hope this outburst of sensational news will be over.
  Without new feeding of fuel , it will consume itself.
    All will go back to the shelf .
  Some people will shake their heads and say :
  " Was a damn good idea , pity".
    And some people who have never heard of Traian Popovici
  will be in the know.

I'm not at all familiar with showbiz, but now I do understand your position.
I think the small word "may" caused some misunderstandings, but by May at
the latest, but probably much earlier, it will be over. Perhaps you are
right, that we'll have to wait that the storm in the teacup will calm down.
