[Cz-L] Fritz Kortner alias Fritz Nathan Kohn in Czernowitz!

On 25.03.1933 Fritz Kortner alias Fritz Nathan Kohn, the perhaps most prominent Austrian/German stage actor ever, guested in Czernowitz, playing "Der Patriot". "Today's" weekend edition of "Der Tag - The Day" reports on this outstanding event at:

Kortner's performance in Czernowitz in the year 1933 was part of a Scandinavian and East European tour, but due to Hitler's seizure of power, Kortner couldn't return to Germany and so his odyssey through Czechoslovakia, Austria, France and Great Britain to the USA began.

Kortner became most famous for his legendary enactment of William  Shakespeare's Shylock. A sample of his art is now available for you at:
