Subject: [Cz-L] Voices of Czernowitz

Dear Czernowitzers,

I'm adapting my essay for the radio! A CBC producer has commissioned me to
rework it with more detail, more stories and of course, music! I'll be
adding interview material as well as recording my own narrative. It's very
exciting, as these other voices will help to convey the feeling of a
vibrant, multilingual community, both in pre-war Czernowitz and here, in our
inboxes.

Here is the link to the essay again:

http://www.jewishindependent.ca/Archives/mar11/archives11mar04-10.html

I'd like to make a kind of audio collage: a series of overlapping voices,
male and female, saying "my name is --- and I am from Czernowitz / Radautz,
etc" in English, German, Yiddish, Hebrew, Rumanian, Ukrainian, and any other
languages we have at our disposal!

Of course, it would be great to have contributions from 2nd or 3rd
generation Bukowiners, to show how the spirit lives on, even today.

Would you like to contribute your voice? If it works out, it would be aired
on Living Out Loud: http://www.cbc.ca/livingoutloud/

Hope to hear from you!

Warm regards,

Shula Klinger
