[Cz-L] Stadt ohne Juden.

In 1922 a jewish writer from Vienna, Hugo Bettauer wrote a novel
" Stadt ohne Juden (Town without Jews )- later a silent movie .
  A fictional story of Vienna who expulses all its jews ,only to find
  out that they cannot manage without the jews.
    They recall all jews to return to Vienna.
   The book ends with the welcome of the first returning jew by a town
    committe with the words :" My dear Jew ."
   In 1925 Bettauer was shot by a Nazi.

     They did not recall the Jews anywhere.
    Not in Vienna , not in Czernowitz.
      Only in Germany they encourage jews to resettle.
        Jews from the SSSR do .
