This is another of my attempts to find traces of my great-grandparents. I h=
ave already ask about the Barths=2C(parents of my paternal grandmother)=2C =
but apparently nobody knows of them.
I'm now thinking of the parents of my paternal grandfather: his father was =
Schmuel (or possibly Solomon) Meyers (or Meyer). His wife Leah (Lena) Meye=
r was also known as Leah Pilpel. They raised their 4 children in Czernowit=
z=3B however=2C the eldest=2C my grandfather Joseph=2C was born in Zagar=2C=
a very small Romanian town.
The subsequent 3 children were born in Czernowitz. I am surmising that my =
great-grandparents were from Zagar=2C and subsequently moved to Czernowitz.
Both Joseph Meyers and Rosa Barth emigrated to the US around 1900.
Any information will be appreciated.
